Combined Art Societies of Sydney Inc

The Combined Art Societies or CASS is run by a small group of
dedicated and enthusiastic Art Society members who are passionate
about furnishing the means for all artists to improve and showcase
 their work.

Their aim is to unite and strengthen the standing of art societies in our community, to gain
greater recognition for art societies, and to encourage a standard of excellence among
individual artists within our societies. The CASS at this time has eleven members.

For more information see the Members page

CASS holds an Annual Art Exhibition in Sydney in January each year.
This exhibition showcases the artworks from all member art societies. All paintings are for sale
and are judged by a visiting judge. Awards are presented on Opening Night.

At this exhibition the 'Artist of the Year' is also announced. A prestigious Exhibition that
gives all Art Society members something to aspire to and work towards.

For more information see the Annual Exhibition page

Another major event held annually is ‘Art in Action’ at Kurrajong in
May where up to 25 tutors and 300 students gather together for a weekend of tutored
workshops. All mediums, styles, subject matter and methods are offered in an inspiring
selection of workshops covering watercolour, oils, acrylic, pastel, mixed media
and sculpture.
